The mag strip drives my Neato crazy. We have now a huge plush carpet that this Neato constitutes a mess of when it vacuums it... leaves grooves in the carpet in the wheels. Simple solution... right? Just surround it with two roles from the tape.
The XV-11 may seem to know there is an area beyond the tape that it should reach. It bumps the magnetic tape, and proceeds for everyone the taped off rug. Then is encircles it again, and again, and again. Eventually this indicates to obtain additional plus more persistent in it's tries to click the mag tape barrier, until it finally succeeds.
Course once in the taped area, it wouldn't move out.
The tape is not a fix for keeping the vac off throw rugs.
